The book was well written, and for the most part the characters were developed. The amount of characters is kept to a minimum and I think that really helped the pacing. The action comes quick in this and it seems to be thrown in your face. One drawback was I couldn't really feel the connection between the star of the book and her connection to one of the other characters. Without spoilers it just seemed to happen to quickly and with little to no context. The true delight however was her conflict with one of the other survivors and really shows you how raw some emotions really run and if given half the chance to act with impunity would we do the same? excellent read and would highly recommend.Product details

What would you do if no one was left on earth? Would you shrivel up and beg for death or would you bust your back to restore it?
You may not have an answer to those questions but Subject 17 (Nyxe) does! The author Jedaiah transforms this character into someone that I couldn't stop cheering for! How can I not mention my favorite character, the masterfully crafted AI that uses incredible technology throughout the story.
If you are looking to be put on the edge of your seat only to wonder what's next, then this book is definitely a must read to add to your collection.
The premise was somewhat interesting, but the writing was terrible. Bad people kill everyone on Earth, but a few are frozen to start over. Computer trains perfect girl to repopulate the word. She goes for a stroll one day and is picked up by a good looking alien with red eyes. Two alien factions are fighting and Earth is going to be in the middle. I don't know why. Here's a quote from a battle sequence.
"I grabbed one of the devices on his belt - hoping that it would be a weapon and to my luck it surely was. I rolled over to the side and shot at the infiltrators down the hallway who were heading in Adam's direction."
She would have been in trouble if it had only been a sonic screwdriver. No science and little fiction. You should skip this one.
A little hard to follow at times,
Well written tale about a tough muscle chick (a popular genre these days). And I liked it!
It probably comes together in a following book, and there is really nothing wrong with the author's style. It simply did not grab my attention as I thought it would.
While there were some excellent ideas in the book but the narrative was a bit tedious, lots of time spent on mental rambling of Nyxe the heroine, I almost did not finish it.
Advanced tech. can be magic for those less advanced. Good book. A little too touchy/feely in places, but well written. Hope to see more of Nyxe in the future.
